Local Lodging Options for Refuge Visitors
- Camping is not available on Malheur Refuge, but the BLM Page Springs Campground, located at the southern end of the Refuge is open year round. Other nearby BLM campgrounds include South Steens, Fish Lake, and Jackman Park. Visit the BLM Burns District web site or call 541-573-4400 for details.
- Malheur Field Station, a non-profit education and research center located on the Refuge and five miles from Refuge headquarters offers a variety of lodging options, seasonal food service, a natural history museum, and a bookshop. Visit their website or call 541-493-2629 for details.
